Frequently asked questions

Where are my Jamf Pro credentials stored?

In the macOS Keychain on your Mac, encrypted by the operating system. Jarl has no backend server and never transmits credentials anywhere other than the Jamf Pro instance you configured.

Which Jamf Pro setup does Jarl need?

A Jamf Pro instance with an API Role and an API Client (client ID + secret) configured under Settings → System → API Roles and Clients. Jarl does not use Jamf user accounts or SSO.

Which macOS versions are supported?

macOS 27 or later, Apple Silicon only.

How do I report a bug?

Email marian@spectrechen.de with a description of the issue, your macOS version, and the Jamf Pro API endpoint involved if relevant.

Does Jarl work with multiple Jamf Pro instances at once?

Yes — you can add multiple organizations and switch between them from within the app.
